Holiday Lights @ the L. V. Motor Speedway

Jingle that sleigh to Las Vegas Motor Speedway – only 10 minutes from Downtown Las Vegas– for their holiday drive-through spectacular, Glittering Lights. The dazzling array of festive lights and sounds feature more than 3 million LED lights along a 2.5 mile course through the speedway. Sunday through Thursday 5 – 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday and holidays 5 – 10 p.m. Tickets are Monday through Thursday $20 per vehicle and Friday-Sunday, holidays and December 18-25 $30 per vehicle.

Hello from Japan

You’ll be saying “kawaii” (“cute” in Japanese) when you have a look at Hello from Japan!, the newest exhibit at the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum. The 1,500 sq. ft. interactive exhibition presents a bustling modern Tokyo street that bridges to a tranquil Shinto shrine, contrasting a modern aesthetic with traditional motifs and customs. Kids of all ages can sing karaoke, draw mascots, and learn about ancient cultures!

The Art of Samurai Armor

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art’s current exhibit walks guests through centuries of Japanese history at Samurai Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection. Featuring dozens of objects used both for combat and ceremonial purposes, these pieces convey the complete story of the samurai, a part of the Japanese elite who not only fought in battle but also practiced poetry and calligraphy.
